RxLR48 down-regulates expression of FRK1. a Transcription levels of NPR1-related genes and FRK1. Protoplasts were transiently transfected with the indicated constructs. For detection of NPR1, NPR3 and PR1 gene expression, protoplasts were harvested directly after incubation; For FRK1 detection, protoplasts were treated with 1 μM flg22 for 8 h before harvest. Real-time RT-PCR were carried out to analyze relative expression of the genes in Arabidopsis with the actin gene as a reference. Each data represents the mean of three replicates.
