Constitutive genes were greatly suppressed and upregulated genes were enriched and normalized by DSH. Using DSH and Non-DSH treated products as templates, constitutive genes (MoActin, EF-1α, β-tubulin, OsActin, OsCAT-A, OsPdxB) and upregulated genes (MoFLS, α/β hydrolase, MoSTL1, OsPR10a, OsJAmyb, OsTerpene) were amplified with gene-specific primers. Aliquots of PCR reaction mixture were taken at 20, 25, 30, and 35 cycles of amplification and the products were analyzed on 1% agarose gels as indicated. “DSH” represents products treated by DSH, and “Non-DSH” indicates samples without DSH treatment as a control.
